Chess World Cup 2023 championship: in Baku, tie-breaker games will be played between India’s 18-year-old chess genius R Praggnanandhaa( ranked 23) and Magnus Carlsen, who is currently ranked first in the world. After the two classical time control matches ended in draws, this is seen as the beginning of a conflict between generations.
Praggnanandhaa played a draw with the World No.1 Magnus Carlsen, who is a five-time world champion and has already won against number two and number three in the World Cup.

Now the World Chess Championship final moves into a Tiebreaker. Both talented Grandmasters are aiming for their first World Cup title. But for the first time ever, Praggnanandhaa and Carlsen are competing in the Chess World Cup. While Carlsen, 32, is also vying for his first title at this level, Praggnanandhaa, 18, is the youngest finalist in ever.
At the Asian Continental Chess Championship 2022, Praggnanandhaa won with an undefeated 7/9 after drawing his match against B. Adhiban in the final round. He also qualifies for the 2023 World Cup because to the wins.

R Praggnanandhaa will have an amazing chance to become the first Indian after Viswanathan Anand to win the Chess World Cup. All hopes are on Praggnanandhaa to clinch that world title but as the second Indian to reach the final he is already made India proud.
