Virat Kohli was born in Uttam Nagar, Delhi, on November 5, 1988. Prem Kohli, his father, was a criminal lawyer, and Saroj Kohli, his mother, is a housewife. Virat’s mother claims that since he was three years old, O has been playing with a cricket bat and has insisted on playing cricket with his father as a companion. Virat attended Vishal Bharti Public School for his education. Virat’s father got him join West Delhi Cricket Academy after nine years.
Then he began training with coach Raj Kumar Sharma, and he quickly figured out the basic concepts of cricket. However, Virat was not selected for the Delhi Under 14 teams in 2001.Virat felt horrible at the time, but he did not give up. He worked hard, achieved success in club and district competitions, and he was selected to the Delhi Under-15 team next year.
Virat made his first-class debut for Delhi against Tamil Nadu at the age of 18, scoring 10 runs. During India’s tour of England in July 2006, he made his Under-19 debut. India won both the One-Day International and Test series. Kohli made his T20 debut the following year and finished with 179 runs in the Inter-State T20 Championship.
His life changed dramatically in 2008. First, he led the victorious Under-19 Cricket World Cup team. Second, he was acquired by RCB for $30,000 on an IPL youth contract. He also made his international debut.
